Overview
Phixos have supported the software development and verification of a number of complex weapon systems, including launcher software, aircraft – missile interface software and onboard weapon software. Some of these are IEC 61508 compliant and the range of involvement in the lifecycle has varied, from Full Software Lifecycle ownership to purely independent verification and validation activities. The security level of these has also varied but all have been conducted at our offices in Worcester, typically due to the complexity of some of these systems we have initiated the project with the technical lead on the clients site for 6-8 weeks to ensure full technical understanding of the project prior to team ramp up. Tool set utilised is SVN, VSS, DOORS, Rhapsody, bespoke test environment, with implementation in C++ and Ada.
